Welcome to Carohav Havanese. We are Havanese puppy breeders located in Statesville, North Carolina and are devoted to the love of one breed.... the Havanese! Our dogs are actively shown in the confirmation ring and earn the AKC title of CHAMPION. We also health test our dogs to assure that we breed beautiful, healthy puppies.          Lisa Workman.... Carohav@gmail.com  704-380-4256             Orginally from the Mediterranean, the Havanese was introduced to Cuba in the 1500. These sweet, comical little dogs quickly became the beloved, pampered pets of the Cuban aristrocracy. The Cuban revolution was detremental to the breed, however, when these wealthy families were forced to flee, bringing their precious pets with them. Dorothy Goodale is responsible for bring the breed back from the brink of extinction. She tracked down 11 dogs and breathed new life into this breed. They grew quickly in popularity and became AKC recognized in January 1999.
