To introduce myself, my name is Lisa Workman and along with my husband, Guy, we have been involved with the Havanese breed for about 5 years. By profession, I am a Labor and Delivery nurse and since I work night shift, the best time to contact me is in the evenings. I am a proud and active member of the our parent club, the Havanese Club of America. I serve on the HCA Local Club Committee and was an assistant show chair for the 2009 Havanese National held in Chicago. I am an assistant editor for the Havanese Hotline, the official publication of the HCA. I am the current president of the Central Carolina Havanese Club and I am an active member of the Piedmont Kennel Club and Havanese Rescue. We are active the the sport of confirmation, so we breed to have dogs to show. We careful study pedigrees in an effort to produce quality puppies, and choose parents based on their confirmation to breed standard, their health and their temperment. While we do have puppies to sell as pets, we do not breed "pet puppies." It is our intention to breed every litter to produce stunning puppies, each one capable of walking into the show ring. We only have three to four litters per year and normally have waiting lists for our planned litters.
